富龙休闲度假小镇公共空间能力(传播)社会计算

This project establishes a data‑driven public‑space communication system for Fulong Leisure Resort Town (covering the whole Chongli District and Fulong Ski Resort), upgrading site‑planning for brand advertisements from experiential judgement to evidence‑based spatial decision‑making. Centred on the core concept of “social computation of spatial communication capacity”, it regards public space as a quantifiable, optimisable and operable communication medium, realising the proposition: “each site is a medium; every space conveys communication”.

Integrating three analytical tools — space‑syntax theory, Visibility‑Graph Analysis (VGA), and POI big‑data analysis — the study conducts multi‑scale accessibility analysis ranging from 50 m to 10 000 m, multi‑format business‑radiation simulation, and cumulative visibility‑integration calculation across the entire site of Chongli District and Fulong Ski Resort. It scientifically identifies critical communication nodes from diverse viewpoints: ski‑run perspectives, cable‑car perspectives, plaza perspectives, ski‑lobby perspectives and transportation‑network perspectives.

A comprehensive spatial communication system is developed encompassing nine categories: LED‑screen advertisements, large‑pillar advertisements, large‑frame advertisements, strip‑form advertisements, way‑finding systems, environmental shaping, building‑facade advertisements, small freestanding advertisements and art installations. Phased‑implementation planning and flexible‑operation strategies are formulated to guarantee the scientific validity, regulatory compliance and sustainability of brand communication. As an exploratory application of parametric design within urban brand communication, this computation‑driven design addresses communication challenges specific to resort towns such as “seasonal fluctuation” and “spatial fragmentation”. It delivers a quantifiable and replicable methodological reference for brand building and spatial revitalisation of cultural‑tourism‑oriented towns.

Parametric design resolves communication dilemmas of resort towns and provides a quantifiable, replicable methodology for cultural‑tourism‑brand revitalisation.

Digital Quantification of Communication Potential

Adopting space‑syntax theory, multi‑scale integration and choice analyses from 50 m to 10 000 m are performed across Chongli District and Fulong Ski Resort. Questions of “where people can reach” and “which routes people tend to pass” are transformed from experiential intuition into measurable spatial data. This creates scientific accessibility evidence for communication‑site selection and enables the data‑driven interpretation of “each site is a medium”.

Site Optimisation Driven by Visibility Calculation

Visibility‑Graph Analysis (VGA) is applied to compute layered cumulative visibility‑integration for viewpoints including ski runs, cable cars, plazas, ski‑equipment lobbies and viewing platforms. High‑frequency zones receiving the greatest public visual attention are pinpointed. Advertising locations are precisely positioned at key visual‑gathering nodes to maximise visibility and audience‑reach efficiency, overcoming the limitations of conventional experiential site‑selection for advertisements.

Big‑data and “Liquid‑relationship” Radiation Model

Based on POI big data, a “mono‑component liquid‑relationship radiation model” is constructed to quantitatively examine spatial radiation correlations among various commercial formats within the resort, evaluating how businesses draw visitors to one‑another and share customer groups. This model tightly couples advertising‑site layout with commercial circulation patterns and consumer behaviour. Communication points function not merely as exposure windows, but also as spatial links that guide consumption and connect diverse business formats.

Construction of Full‑scale Communication System

Building upon quantitative calculations, a holistic multi‑dimensional communication system is assembled covering nine types: LED screens, large pillars, large frames, strip‑form media, way‑finding systems, environmental shaping, building‑facade media, small freestanding fixtures and art installations. Combined with “super‑grid” and foreground‑/background‑network analysis, hierarchical media deployment is achieved ranging from micro‑scale installations to macro‑scale surroundings. Supported by phased planning and flexible‑operation strategies, advertising elements integrate organically with public spaces for sustainable renewal, bringing Fulong Town’s communication capacity under scientific planning and long‑term operational governance.
