"Learning Street" Concept

Main corridors are expanded into 6-meter-wide shared learning spaces lined with reading nooks, discussion zones, display walls, and a mini-theater. This "street" serves as an informal learning venue across grades, encouraging serendipitous interaction.

Modular Classrooms

Classroom units feature modular design with movable partitions merging two standard classrooms within 5 minutes. Each floor has a grade-level commons with movable furniture, supporting project-based learning, group collaboration, and cross-class teaching.

Vertical Stacking Strategy

Responding to Shenzhen's high-density urban context, the design adopts vertically stacked functional layout. Lower grades on lower floors for easy drop-off, upper grades on higher floors for better views and quiet. The rooftop becomes a farm and sports field.

Green Building Strategies

The facade uses precast concrete screens for effective shading with rhythmic light effects. South-facing classrooms achieve over 95% natural daylight compliance. Rainwater harvesting collects 800 tons annually. Overall energy savings reach 65%.

Community Integration

The design breaks the traditional closed campus model, placing gymnasium, library, and multi-purpose hall along the street for after-hours community access. Sports fields become neighborhood fitness spaces on weekends.

Educational Outcomes

One year after opening, teaching innovation results are significant: project-based learning grew from 15% to 35%, cross-grade collaboration tripled, and teacher-initiated innovative teaching cases increased 80%. The spatial design proved directly catalytic for educational innovation.
